Website

I used iWeb to create my website. I loved it! It was very user friendly and had many great tools to use. There were widgets and ways to upload utube videos, pcitures, movies, and you could even film yourself using the camera that is built into your computer. I loved this tool for making personal announcements to parents about what is going on in their child's classroom.
SInce I was using my home computer, I was unable to post student work and links to my school work which was frustrating. If I really am going to use this as my school website, I would need to work on saving their work and transfering it to my home computer. I would also want to transfer more pictures and movies that we have made at school, as well as voicethreads and jing videos.
I would have liked it to be more of a reflection of what is going on in my classroom as well as a resource for information for parents. I am very pleased with the outcome and think I will be using this in my classroom next year for sure. I want to work on it more this summer and tranfer some of those files and work examples for the beginning of next year.
I am going to send out the link to my parents this year and ask for suggestions from them about what else they would want to see.
I am so glad I have this now!
