Digital Data

I know how important digital data and saving file is first hand. I have lost many documents thanks to improper saving. I have learned that no matter what it is important to back up all files.
The CIT on our campus explains how our district backs up data:

"HPISD uses a Redundant SAN(storage area network) for storage and protection of digital data. It is mirrored to a second SAN for disaster recovery."

Our district also provides drives for teachers to keep files safe on. We all have a h drive where we can save our everyday documents. We also have a x drive for media files, a k drive for flipcharts, a public file, and a r drive that our kids can access when they are logged onto the computer. This is all through the server and you must be logged on in order to access these drives. This makes it very organized and easy to access your files.
