I loved visiting this site. It has several good, real life videos that you can use as a teacher for lesson planning or to give ideas to students. Students love it when I show any type of video and think it is so cool to use utube, so I know they would love teacher tube as well. I actually found a few that I would show my second graders.
My lesson plan topic is on the unit of Fairy Tales and more specifically writing a fairy tale. I found a few very kids friendly class fairy tales where the students actually wrote it and chorally read it together, while still photos were capturing what they were saying. Very cute. I also watched one where the kids actually acted out the fairy tale that they wrote. I would use either of these to help spur ideas before we started writing our fairy tales. I know the kids would thoroughly enjoy it. (so much that we might be making our own fairy tale movie to publish on teacher tube. :)
